How does one capture a storm – metaphorically and figuratively? The ‘storm’ that is simultaneously within and outside of oneself.

This is the question that I ask myself when I go into each painting session.

Through the use of reductive symbols and expressive mark making, my work seeks to express the human condition and the correlation between natural and unnatural forces at play. The paintings are attempts at capturing these manifestations as a ‘real-time’ event, while illustrating the delicacy of the individual, our environment, and the sheer force which transforms them together.
